Azad, PDP candidate file nominations for Doda-Udhampur

JAMMU: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Arshad Malik today filed their nomination papers for Doda-Udhampur parliamentary constituency in Kathua district.
Mr Azad, accompanied by the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, JKPCC Chief Saif-ud-Din Soz and other senior leaders from Congress and National Conference filed his nomination papers.
Meanwhile PDP candidate Arshad Malik had also filed the nomination papers this morning before the Returning Officer(RO)
BJP candidate Jitendra Singh, JKNPP candidate Bhim Singh and Jammu Kashmir Democratic Front candidate Anu Gupta had already filed their nominations for Doda-Udhampur seat. Besides, this Prem Nath as substitute candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Shyam Lal (All J&K Kissan Mazdoor Party) and Ranjit Singh (Independent), Amrit Barsha of Samajwadi Party (SP), Dharma Paul Balgotra of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Madhu Bala Balgotra as Substitute Candidate of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) had also filed nominations.
Scrutiny of nominations for Doda-Udhampur parliamentary Constituency will be held on March 27 while last date for withdrawal of nominations is March 29. Voting will be held on April 17.
