JAMMU, Nov 7: Former Chief Minister, and president of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), Ghulam Nabi Azad today visited the residence of former MLA Nagrota and senior BJP leader, Devender Singh Rana to express his condolences on the demise of the veteran leader.
Ghulam Nabi Azad, while recalling the unblemished services of late leader termed his untimely death a great loss for Jammu region in particular and J&K UT in general. He conveyed his condolences to Union Minister, Dr Jitendra Singh who is the eldest brother of Devender Singh Rana, his another brother Satinder Singh Rana and also consoled the son of late leader.
Azad also recalled his association with late leader and paid glowing tribute to him. He expressed his deepest sympathy with bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of departed soul. He said people of J&K will always remember him for his services to mankind especially poor and downtrodden.
It may be recalled that Devender Singh Rana breathed his last on October 31 at Faridabad, Haryana.
