POONCH, Nov 2: Regional Transport Officer, Jammu Ghansham Singh today said that `Back to Village’ Programme, a novel initiative of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir will transform the lives of the peoples in the rural areas.
Singh who was deployed for B2V-4 Programme at Panchayat Baila, in Mandi block in the border district, Poonch conducted an extensive visit of the entire Panchayat Baila. He had detailed interaction and meeting with local PRIs, senior citizens, Self Help Groups and other stakeholders. He also took the feedback from the locals about the impact of development initiatives of Government, CSS and individual beneficiaries’ schemes as also efficiency in the working of different Government departments.
RTO Jammu also shared with them revolutionary governance initiatives launched by UT Administration for improving efficiency in public service delivery, ensuring transparency, accountability and responsibility by launching numerous online services in different Government departments. Awareness on Jhan Bhagidari, Digital J&K and “Aap Ki Zamin Aap Ki Nigrani”.
Singh also witnessed a demonstration at Panchayat Ghar, Baila for sensitising the Panchayat members as also the frontline workers about the “Jan Bhagidari Scheme” and “Myscheme portal” of Rural Development Department.
He was accompanied by ARTO, Poonch, Basharat Mehmood,Tehsildar Mandi, Shahzad Latif Khan, CDPO Mandi, Tehsil Social Welfare Officer, Mandi and other officers of Agriculture, RDD, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandary, Health and School Education Departments besides Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Baila and other Panches.
The officers also inspected High Schools Baila, Middle School Baila, Health and Welness Centre Baila, three Anganwari Centres, PDS outlet and Common Service Centre. He also checked works being undertaken under MGNREGA, PMAY and CAPEX scheme alongwith Sarpanch and local PRIs.
For ensuring saturation of Soil Health Card and Golden Health Card under Ayushman Bharat, Old Age Pension Scheme, KCC and land passbooks detailed discussion was held with the concerned officers of the respective departments in presence of the local PRIs for benefit of the eligible persons.
During the visit an open debate and discussion was held with the Sarpanch, local PRIs and senior citizens in the Panchayat Ghar Baila on “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” and “Bhrasthachar Mukt Abhiyan”.
