JAMMU, July 1: Like previous years, Chattani Baba Buddha Amarnath Committee is all set to host Baba Buddha Amarnath Yatra- 2015 scheduled to be commenced from August 17.
The Committee which is managing the affairs of Baba Buddha Amarnath Shrine Mandi in Poonch is all set to welcome the pilgrims for the holy pilgrimage. Moreover, the district administration Poonch, along with the concerned agencies is also making adequate arrangements for the pilgrims.
Thousands of tourist and pilgrims come to the holy Shrine to offer prayers to Baba Buddha Amarnath. Local people here play an important role in organizing the Yatra successfully every year. People in the region respect National integrity and therefore come forward to organize a Yatra with enthusiasm and religious fevour. The ten-day Yatra to the shrine ends on the event of Purnmashi, which is the day of Raksha Bandhan. A procession is carried out in festive manner leading the Yatra from Poonch to Baba Buddha Amarnath.
This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva’s shrine located amongst the picturesque surrounding of Poonch. Thousands of tourists visit the temple each year on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan with lot of pomp and show. However, more than 500 people visit the shrine and pay obeisance daily to Baba Buddha Amarnath.
The members of the Chattani Baba Buddha Amarnath Committee included Jai Kishore president, Gulshan Bakshi, Om Prakash, Vishwanath Khajuria. However, Deputy Commissioner Poonch is chief executive of the Committee.
The committee members said that this year committee is all set to host Yatra and coordinating efforts have been taken to provide all the facilities to the pilgrims including accommodation, langer etc. They mentioned that there are many organizations working in smooth conduct of Yatra. They further said that Baba Buddha Amarnath Yatra is conducted under the supervision of Swami Shri 1008 Vishwa Atamanand ji Mahataj.
