JAMMU, Oct 25: For the second time in a week, prominent social activist, philanthropist and religious preacher from Jammu, Baba Chanchal Singh met the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at New Delhi today and discussed with him several issues concerning J&K.
During the meeting, Baba Chanchal Singh highlighted the grievances of border inhabitants and urged for a long term Government strategy for their safety and security. He also drew attention towards the increasing unemployment, drug menace among youth and cautioned that the neighbouring Pakistan could exploit the misguided youth. He suggested that moral teaching and sports activities should be encouraged at school and college level for character building among youth.
Rajnath Singh gave a patient hearing to Baba Chanchal Singh and said that his suggestions for welfare of border inhabitants and students would be given positive consideration. This was second meeting of Baba Chanchal Singh with the Union Home Minister within a week’s time.
