Baba Gabsra Devta Mela at Sarote-Kote concludes

UDHAMPUR, June 23: Three-day annual Baba Gabsra Devta Mela at Sarore-Kote, Gabber concluded here today.
The mela was organized under the banner of Przyas Foundation Sarhi Sarote and thousands of pilgrims from across J&K paid obeisance at the revered shrine of Baba Gabsra Devta.
The mela was marked by a vibrant array of cultural programs, showcasing the rich heritage of the region. Talented artists enthralled the audience with Kali Maa Jagrata, led by Ashok Hans, Bishan Dass, Jivan Pahari, Amit and Aman on 3rd evening of the Mela. Shiva Tandva and other vibrant musical performances resonated with the spirit of the festival.
The District Administration Reasi had made foolproof arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event for the convenience of the devotees. All necessary amenities were made available, contributing to the overall success and safety of the Mela.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, local vendors established a variety of stalls serving an assortment of local cuisines, giving visitors a taste of the region’s culinary delights.
The event was graced by the presence of the DDC Chairperson Reasi, Saraf Singh Nag, who attended the mela as the chief guest while DDC Pancheri along with District Information Officer Udhampur Rajinder Digra was the guest of honour.
Baba Gabsra Devta Committee along with Pyras Foundation Bhomag organised Kud dance, traditional cultural show, feast (Dhaam) along with sports competitions viz Volleyball and Kabbadi for all three days.
