JAMMU, Sept 16: Babar Afzal, the son of the soil was conferred with the prestigious Bharat Gaurav Award at the India Islamic Cultural Center in New Delhi
Babar Afzal is the founder of Kashmirink and the Global Pashmina Goat Project. As a serial entrepreneur, writer and an abstract artist he has been working to create global attraction for J&K with his work. Featured regularly in State, national and international media, he has been referred many times as “the most credible man on Pashmina in the world”.
He is also a proud recipient of the Shri Rabindranath Tagore Award, BR Ambedkar Award and Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award.
As a professional he has worked with top organizations including McKinsey & Company Inc and Computer Associates in India, USA, UK, Middle East and Saudi Arabia as a Business Consultant, Hacker and an Information Security Architect and Project Manager.
