Babbar campaigns for Bhalla, Manjit, Babu

JAMMU, Dec 7: Congress stalwart and cine star Raj Babbar conducted campaign for Minister for Culture and Housing Raman Bhalla, former Minister and Congress candidate from Vijaypur Manjit Singh and party candidate from Kathua Babu Singh today.
Addressing public meetings in Gandhi Nagar Mr Babbar said that Congress always stood for the welfare and upliftment of common masses and fought for their legitimate rights. He hoped that the common masses, would rise above the divisive politics again and vote in favour of Congress candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency Raman Bhalla.
“The decisive forces are exploiting the poor people and down trodden sections of the society by showing them such dreams, which they cannot fulfill”, Mr Babbar added.
He termed these decisive forces as dream sellers and hollow slogan mongers as the leaders of these parties just appear during electioneering and after elections they disappear.
Mr Babbar asked the people to give befitting reply to all divisive forces and vote in favour of Congress party so as to form congress led Government in J&K.
Raman Bhalla stated that the State witnessed unimaginable growth and development during Congress regime. He assured the masses that he will leave no stone unturned for the holistic development of the Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Meanwhile, while lunching attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, former Minister and contesting candidate of Congress party from Vijaypur Assembly Manjit Singh alleged that NDA Government has failed to establish peace with Pakistan due to which militancy related incidents have increased.
“Modi Government has failed to hold talks with Pakistan and provide some relief to the border people,” Manjit Singh said adding that they should resume talks with Pakistan to end stalemate.
Mr Singh was speaking before the people in villages like Thalodi, Smailpur, Karalian, Jakh, and Birpur where he criticized the adamant attitude of the Union Government which have failed to keep peaceful relations with Pakistan.
Raj Babbar- actor and senior Congress leader- who campaigned for the Congress candidate for Vijaypur constituency at village Chak Salarian asked people to vote for Congress. Mr Babbar appealed people to strengthen the hands of Congress party and vote for Manjit Singh who is capable and educated candidate and able to keep on developmental phase which was carried by the UPA Government in Centre and in Jammu and Kashmir.
In Kathua, Mr Babbar addressed a public rally this evening and sought support for Congress candidate Babu Singh. He asked the people to ensure the victory of the Congress candidates for seeking better development in the State. Several senior party leaders including Naresh Sharma addressed the meeting.
