BABBAYN to send first consignment of ration to Baltal today

JAMMU, May 30: Baba Amarnath Avam Baba Buda Amarnath Yatra Niyas (BABBAYN) today announced to send its first consignment of ration and other material for the yatris of Baba Amarnath to Baltal base camp from here tomorrow.
This was announced by president of Niyas Surinder Aggarwal while taking to reporters here. Flanked by Karan Singh Charak general secretary of the Niyas, Jagdish Dogra president Sanatan Dharam Sabha (SDS) and Pawan Kumar Jain, president Jain Sabha Kali Jani , Aggarwal said this decision was taken in the meeting of Niyas in view of VHP starting the yatra on June 3.
He said the Niyas is to facilitate the smooth yatra whether it is started by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) or VHP. “We are duty bound to make arrangements for the pilgrims and so we have decided to send the first consignment of ration tomorrow to Baltal” he added .
Aggarwal said that last year the Niyas has also launched an agitation demanding that the yatra should run for two months starting from Jesht Purnima and culminating on Sawan Purnima but the Board deceived the Niyas by taking some members to Panjtarni to perform symbolic pooja there instead of visiting Holy Cave.
This has led to lot of resentment among the Shiv Bhakts (devotees) who have warned against such a move be repeated this time again.
He said the Niyas will fully back the VHP which has decided to run the yatra for two months from Jesht Purnima failing on June 4 to Sawan Purnima falling in August.
