JAMMU, Mar 14: A baby boy was today found abandoned in Top Paloura area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, locals of the area this morning spotted an unknown male baby lying on the road side at a secluded place in Top Paloura area and shifted him to Government Hospital, Sarwal, from where after proper checkup, the baby was shifted to Neonatal ICU of Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital, Shalamar, Road, Jammu.
He said according to the doctors, the baby had been delivered during the intervening night of March 13 and 14. “In this connection, a case has been registered under relevant sections and efforts are being made to locate the parents of the baby”, the official said. “Meanwhile, the baby is under observation of doctors”, he further added.
