Baby Raj elected president of Sangram Sena’s Reasi unit

REASI, Jan 1: Sangram Sena in a meeting held today at Suraj Palace here elected Baby Raj, the grandson of Late General Zorawar Singh, its president for District unit Reasi.
The meeting, which was attended by prominent persons besides activists of Reasi expressed serious concern over the worst condition of ancient Fort, Suraj Palace, which was constructed by Late General Zorawar Singh in 1839.
The members criticized the State Government for its failure to preserve the old monuments, particularly of Dogra War heroes, which if preserved and renovate can attract a lot of tourists.
Addressing the meeting, Sena president, RR Raina, said that he would take up the case of the ancient Fort with the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and if needed would also approach to Archaeology Department for maintenance and renovation of the Fort.
