Back to village

Sir,
It is an admitted fact that the success and viability of Government depends on good governance. Good governance means that grievances of the people are addressed properly, they are provided with all the facilities in respect of education, medical aid, social security, road connectivity, employment etc. As India lives in villages the schemes devised by Central or State Governments should percolate to the lowest unit i.e. a village or more so a Panchayat. Keeping in view this important step JK Government has devised a new scheme known as “back to village” perhaps an innovative scheme of its kind throughout the Centre for which the Government and Advisors deserve accolades. The scheme envisages deployment of Gazetted officer to every Panchayat who will meet people including even children and women and listen to their demands, grievances and report to their concerned departments. They will apprise the people of the Centrally sponsored schemes and see their implementation and progress. It means that the Government will be at the door of the people and interact with them regarding all the needs for a progressive life.
The officers will make sure that the schemes of the Centre have been implemented besides looking into the grievances of the people in every aspect. Such scheme is meant for the overall progress and prosperity of the people especially in villages. This scheme will go a long way in addressing the problems of the people which otherwise were left unattended. The Governor has taken a personal interest in the implementation of the scheme and the results are coming satisfactorily. It is an important scheme for the overall progress and prosperity of the villages.
