JAMMU, Aug 27: All India Backward Classes Union led by its president Abdul Majid Malik, conducted tour of various villages of district Samba and listened to the plights of the OBC people.
While speaking, speakers showed their resentment over the dismissal progress of the State OBC Advisory and Development Board.
They said that the Government has not enhanced the creamy layer limit from Rs 3 lakh since 2004, whereas the Central Government has enhanced it upto Rs 9 lakh.
It is the matter of surprise, that creamy layer for RBA and ALC has been abolished whereas the Government is totally adamant not to change the creamy layer only for OSCs (not OBCs) who have been granted only 2 per cent share in reservation instead of 27 percent, they said, adding, that Government is doing all this under the garb of Article 370 as a muscle force.
They appealed to the State OBCs to remain united under one umbrella to get their legitimate demands fulfilled.
Among others present were Santokh Chand, president, Jammu province, Rakesh Verma, district president Samba, Ashok Bhatti, Ram Lal, Tarsem Lal, Parlad Singh, etc.
