Srinagar Jan 13: Concerned about the poor condition of roads in their village, the inhabitants of Baghat Mohalla Durii Zaingair in Sopore, north Kashmir, have appealed to the authorities to maintain the road and drainage system in the area to avoid agitation.
The residents claimed that they are experiencing enormous suffering as a result of the bad condition of the road and criticized the administration for being unconcerned about their plight, saying, “we are continuously suffering owing to very poor road connectivity in the region. The road has deep ditches and potholes, making our everyday travel a nightmare, “locals said.
According to the residents, the construction of the drainage system has been on hold for some time now due to the administration’s irresponsible attitude. “As a result, the residents are enduring enormous hardships. The road is littered with enormous potholes, making it impossible for residents to visit the adjacent apple orchids, “locals explained.
They said they have raised the issue with the authorities several times but nothing has happened. “The streets are frequently seen flooded with water, causing enormous challenges for people as well as substantially hurting vehicular traffic, which we utilize for daily processes,” they stated.
They urged the government to conduct the drainage work on a war footing and repair the roads as soon as possible.
