JAMMU, Aug 8: The villagers of Badi Banoni in Bari Brahmana area today protested against the failure of police in arresting the assailants of Mohammed Rafiq, son of Lal Mohammed of Shah Talab Bari Brahmana who was working as a conductor of a mini bus.
The protestors raising slogans against the police accused it of its total failure in arresting the assailants who are still at large.
They said that Mohammed Rafiq was dragged from the matador by assailants on August 1 and attacked with sharp edged weapons. He received grievous injuries and was admitted in GMC Jammu. The police instead of taking action against the culprits and arresting them was sleeping over the issue alleged the protestors.
They demanded that the assailants be immediately arrested and dealt under law.
