JAMMU, Apr 26: Bagala Mukhi Jayanti was celebrated today at Natraj Temple in Raghunath temple under the management of J&K Dharmarth Trust Jammu.
Hawan was organized on the occasion followed by Arti in the temple of Mata Bagala Mukhi Ji.
Hundreds of devotees and senior police officers took part in the Arti. A bhandara was also organized by Advocate Sunil Sharma in which all devotees had parsad.
Secretary Shashi Khajuria and Staff member of the Dharmarth Trust were also present on the occasion.
Bagala Mukhi is one of the ten Mahavidyas (great wisdom goddesses) in Hinduism. Bagalamukhi Devi smashes the devotee’s misconceptions and delusions (or the devotee’s enemies) with her cudgel. She is also known as Pitambara Maa in North India.
