JAMMU, Nov 23: Principal Sessions Judge Kathua M A Chowdhary has rejected the bail application of Nazir Ahmed and Nazakat Ali, who were arrested with charas from Hiranagar area last month.
After hearing both the sides, the court observed, “there is massive increase in drug abuse in the State of J&K. Reliable statistics reveal that thousands of the patients/victims have received treatment in the Drug De-addiction Centres across the State, which too do not have the adequate infrastructure that is needed to cope up with the huge demand”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
