JAMMU, Nov 21: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu, R S Jain rejected the bail application of Kamaldeep Singh, a fraudster, who forged the document of court.
The FIR against the fraudster was registered on the direction of 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu for forging the documents of the court. During investigation, file was seized from the court of 2nd Addl. Sessions Judge, Jammu and statements of the witnesses recorded under Section161 CrPC.
During investigation it came to the fore that the petitioner had opened an account in Federal Bank, Jalandhar and petitioner had been arrested in FIR No 27/2009 and recovery was also effected in a theft case.
On the directions of the 2nd Addl. Sessions Judge, Jammu, the account of petitioner was frozen. The accused after being released by the court filed an application in the bank that his account be released as has been directed by the concerned court. The Manager of the bank sought the court order from the accused where upon the accused presented a written order dated 23.11.2010 and also presented an Urdu document and its translation.
In respect of which the Bank Manager wrote a letter dated 2.12.2010 to the concerned court to confirm the order whereupon a reply was received from the concerned court. During this period accused withdrew Rs 25000 from the bank. On receipt of the letter from the court it came out that petitioner had forged the court documents. Accordingly, he was arrested on 16.10.2014.
After hearing both the sides, Principal Sessions Judge rejected the bail application.
