Bail denied in dowry death case

JAMMU, May 13: 1st Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Mohan Singh Parihar today rejected the bail application of Sudesh Kumari, mother-in-law and Angad Kattal, brother-in-law of deceased Neha Narania, who were allegedly involved in dowry death case.
According to the police case, father of the deceased lodged a report regarding missing of his daughter from the house of in-laws. On March 29, 2015 the Akhnoor Police recovered here dead body from the bank of river Chenab at Sangrampur.
After completion of the investigation, police registered a case under Section 306 RPC.
After hearing Advocate RK Kotwal appearing for the applicants whereas Advocate Prince Khanna appearing for the complainant, Ist Additional Sessions Judge Jammu observed, “the offences are serious in nature and against the society”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
