JAMMU, Jan 3: Additional Sessions Judge Udhampur Dinesh Gupta has rejected the bail application of Rakesh Singh, a habitual narco smuggler who has been booked under Narcotics Drugs and PsyAfter hearing APP Himanshu Parkash for the police whereas Advocate Kiran Chouhan for the applicant, the court observed, “menace of drug addiction is a complex illness with far reaching consequences for those who know, work with, and support the drug addicted individual(s)”.
“The cost of drug abuse is enormous and multifaceted which poses severe threat to the very social fabric of the society and, thus, the instances of drug abuse are required to be dealt with strictly”, the court said while rejecting the bail application.
