JAMMU, Apr 10: Special Judge CBI Jammu Bala Joyti today rejected the bail application of Patwari and his associate Chowkidar of Nanga Panchayat in Samba, who were arrested by CBI in bribe case.
After hearing both the sides, the court observed, “the applicant was caught by the CBI, ACB Jammu red handed in a trap laid down on the basis of the complaint of Avtar Singh besides investigation is still at its infancy and many more skelton tumbled or likely to come. Moreover, as per Investigating Officer, many material witnesses are yet to be examined including complainant”.
“It is pre-mature to admit the accused/applicant to bail at this stage as till date he has failed to carve out a case for bail in his favour Thus prayer is declined and application for bail at this stage is rejected”, the court said.
