JAMMU, Sept 7: Principal Sessions Judge Samba, M L Manhas today rejected the bail application of Mohan Lal, Meter Reader and Kuldeep Singh, RE in the office of AEE PDD Ramgarh Samba, who duped the people worth lakhs of rupees on the assurance of providing Government job.
According to the police case, both the accused during their posting in the office of AEE PDD Ramgarh developed relations with complainants and approached them with proposal that they can arrange Government jobs for unemployed youth in PDD through their relationship with some higher officers.
In this way, they induced the complainants to pay Rs 15 lakh for arranging Government jobs some 3 years back and when complainant found that nothing concrete had been done, they filed a complaint and police registered FIR No 103/2015.
After hearing Advocates Mohinder Singh and Ajay Gupta for the accused persons whereas Public Prosecutor BS Charak for the State, Principal Sessions Judge observed, “the offence allegedly committed by the accused pertains to misuse of official status and SHO Bari-Brahamna has told the court that due to non-cooperation of accused, police is unable to unearth the ramifications of the crime”.
Upon this, court rejected the bail application and said, “the accused are required for the custodial interrogation by the investigating agency”.
