JAMMU, June 15: Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fast Track) Doda Special Judge Designated under NIA Act Sudesh Sharma has granted bail with certain conditions to Rameez Raja of Dachhan, who has been booked under UAPA Act, Arms Act and Explosive Substance Act.
After hearing both the sides, court said, “without touching the merits of the case and in view of the fact that arms and ammunition recovered from the applicant/accused are rusty and unserviceable and other co-accused persons already stand bailed out and the present accused has been in custody for almost over five years, there is no impediment in granting bail to the applicant”.
Accordingly, court granted bail subject to furnishing of personal bond to the tune of Rs 1 lakh and surety bond of the like amount with certain other directions.
