Bailable warrants against Controller BoPEE

JAMMU, Aug 24: High Court has issued bailable warrants against Controller Board of Professional Entrance Examination (BoPEE) to secure presence in a petition titled Mehran Ajmal Versus Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and others.
“In terms of order dated August 2, 2022, the respondents were directed to file response to the amended petition by or before the next date of hearing after the application seeking amendment in the writ petition was allowed and disposed of by the court”, Justice Javed Iqbal Wani observed after hearing Advocate Razat Sudan along with the petitioner in person and Government Advocate Sumeet Bhatia.
“The order dated August 2, 2022 stipulates that in the event the respondents fail to file the reply, the Controller BoPEE shall remain in person along with record of the case while posting the case for final considering for today’s hearing”, High Court said.
“Neither response has been filed nor respondent present in person. Having regard to the nature of controversy involved in the petition, the presence of respondent shall be secured by issuance of bailable warrants in the sum of Rs 5000 to be executed through Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu”, Justice Wani ordered.
