Bajaj Allianz issues advisory for flood affected areas

JAMMU, Sept 16: Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, a leading private non-life insurance company, in association with J&K Bank is actively working towards speedy and hassle free claim settlement in the flood affected areas of J&K.
Apart from the helpline number, the Company has also issued a special advisory for its customers, which gives them information on how to avoid further damage to their property in this situation of flood.
With a set of important guidelines in place, the measures will not only help mitigate further losses but also help speed up the entire claim process for those in need.
Some of the key guidelines for all home or shop related damage included making sure to take as many photographs as possible of the damaged stock, removal of the wet/damaged items, ensuring the approximate count/quantity of the damaged goods before shifting them to safer/alternate place where survey can be arranged, disposing off perishable items after taking photographs.
Meanwhile, for all Godown or Warehouse related damage, the guidelines included making sure to take as many photographs of the damaged stock, as possible, ensuring that all water is removed immediately from the affected area, preparing a list of all items present in the affected area, ensuring that the damaged items are listed out along with their purchase cost and ensuring that photographs are taken of all affected goods before disposing them along with an account of the amount of damage.
