NEW DELHI, Sept 3: Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) today reported a decline of 9.88 per cent in its total sales for the month of August 2012 at 344,906 units as compared to 382,739 units in the same month last year.
Its motorcycle sales in the reported month also dipped by 9.96 pert cent to 304,352 units as compared to 338,054 units in the corresponding month last year, BAL MD Rajiv Bajaj said in a statement here.
The company said its commercial vehicles sales in August 2012 declined by 9.2 per cent to 40,554 units against 44,685 units in the same period last year.
The company’s total export in August 2012 also witnessed a shortfall of 4.8 per cent at 131,562 units over 138,225 units in August 2011, it added.
