Bakaya calls on Lt Governor, discusses various public issues

JAMMU, Sept 10: Apni Party, general secretary, Vijay Bakaya today called on Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha and discussed various issues of public concern with him.
In a statement later to the press, Bakaya appealed the Lt Governor that any decision to divide the assets at Jammu and Kashmir House ChanakyaPuri between the UT of J&K and UT of Ladakh should take into account the requirement of both UT’s on the basis of population.
Bakaya also said that J&K UT have a Legislative Assembly whose members will need accommodation from time to time in Delhi in future. “The need for patients and their attendants who come for specialized treatment to Delhi from both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir should also be taken into account,” he added.
The Apni Party, general secretary also requested that the Lt Governor that the fact that 20 odd families of employees are living in the flats be kept in mind.
Bakaya suggested that in order to provide a forum for redressal of problems of displaced Kashmiri Pandit migrants, an Apex Body, as was set-up in the past, be constituted again comprising of representatives from various recognized organizations of KPs and from all two room tenement camps and all political parties.
Bakaya mentioned the recent controversy about Panjbakhtar temple and was informed that an enquiry has already been ordered. The LG assured Bakaya that due consideration would be given to the suggestions made by him.
