JAMMU, May 26: Former Chief Secretary and ex MLC Vijay Bakaya has urged the Government to take immediate steps in tracing out the missing cop Sameer Bhat as his family members especially ailing parents are in great distress and agony.
Bakaya who took up the issue with DG Police S P Vaid telephonically demanded that immediate efforts be made to trace out the missing cop whose whereabouts are not known for last 13 days now. He said sudden disappearance of the cop who was on duty in Srinagar is a cause of concern for one and all and the administration should take steps in providing information to the family.
Bakaya has also made an appeal to Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti and sought her personnel intervention in the matter. He said entire KP community is worried over the sudden disappearance of the cop and it is astonishing that the Government as well as Police Department has no proper information that what happened to him.
