JAMMU, Dec 8: A delegation of Kashmir Bakers Association (KBA) and Jammu Bakers Association (JBA) led by Neeraj Anand, President Chamber of Traders Federation Jammu called upon Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar, Commissioner Food Safety J&K and discussed various issues related to Food Operators Business.
Anand urged the Commissioner to help increase ease of doing business and help to make food operators aware of changing business environment as per FSSAI framework.
He also added that working in J&K is also a challenge for Food Operators and department should play a facilitators role and discourage punitive action especially in far flung areas of Kashmir as well as Jammu.
Omer Bhat, President KBA and Shiv Kumar Gupta, President JBA also apprised the Commissioner about the role their respective associations are playing in educating their members about FSSAI rules and regulations besides supplying hygienic and quality food products to the consumers.
The Commissioner assured the delegation of full cooperation by the department in educating and creating a sense of confidence among all the food operators of the State.
Dr Parvesh, Additional Commissioner Food Safety Jammu besides Majid Sofi, President Anantnag Bakers Association, Vijay Saraf, Secretary Amar Singh Club, Parveen Gupta, Tushar Mahajan, Balwinder Singh were also present.
