JAMMU, Nov 9: Balbir Ram Rattan from Jammu and Kashmir, has been appointed general secretary of the Indian Branch of British Ravidassia Heritage Foundation (BRHF) an UK based social organization which was launched at Phagwara Punjab on Friday. Balbir received an official letter of appointment from Om Prakash Bagha, Chairman, BRHF, Sat Pal, general secretary, in presence of Rajesh Bagha, president Indian Branch of the organisation, in a meeting held at Dera Guru Ravidass Mandir, Chak Hakim, Phagwara, Punjab.
The appointment letter mentioned “that keeping in view dedication and services towards the society and humanity, Balbir Ram is appointed as general secretary (Indian Branch) for the upcoming three years.
Besides, Balbir, chairman and general secretary British Ravidassia Heritage Foundation also handed over letters of appointment to Rajesh Bagha as president and Varinder Sharma as treasurer of Indian Branch.
Om Prakash Bagha, on this occasion, said that the British Ravidassia Heritage Foundation was established in 2019 with its head office in the UK. “Through this organization we have not confined ourselves to the UK but frequently travel to many other countries to organize different programmes highlighting the life of Guru Ravidass as the sole objective of this social organization is to reach the people with the life and message of Guru Ji and spread teachings of this great saint”.
