JAMMU, Aug 1: In order to get the details related to the quarterly achievements of SC, ST, BC, Development Corporation Ltd, its Vice Chairperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, chaired a meeting of the officers at Corporation Head Office here today.
The meeting among others was attended by Financial Advisor / Chief Accounts Officer, Vijay Kumar Tak, Divisional Manager, Ghulam Qadir Khatana, Statistical Assistant Mohinder Paul and District Manager Joginder Paul Atri,.
The VC was briefed about achievements of first quarter of financial year 2017-18 with respect to Direct Financing and Bank Tie-Up schemes. It was brought into the notice of the VC that under Direct Financing, 10 cases of Rs 21.51 lakh have been cleared under SC category, 9 cases of Rs 21.16 lakh under ST Category,11 cases of Rs 12.13 lakh under BC Category, 14 cases of Rs 13.95 lakh under Minority Category, 22 cases of Rs 45.23 lakh under Safai Karamchari Category and 23 cases amounting to Rs 33.55. lakh under handicap category have been so far cleared and loan money directly deposited in individual accounts.
It was further briefed that under Bank Tie-Up scheme, an amount of Rs 2.90 lakh has been released in favour of 29 ST loanees and Rs 1.65 lakh in favour of 55 BC loanees. As far SCs, no subsidy has been provided by the Government for the last three years.
Balbir Ram Rattan, while expressing satisfaction over the category wise achievements of three months of current financial year, said that he will take up the issue related to non-release of subsidy for SC loanees with the Union Ministry of Social Justices & Empowerment at the earliest. He expressed the hope that the Corporation officials shall continue to work with same zeal and commitment and work towards extending best possible help to the people who visit them as loan aspirants.
