Bali Bhagat slams NC, Cong for failure to develop J&K at par with other states

JAMMU, Mar 26: Bali Bhagat, senior BJP leader and former Minister today accused the National Conference (NC) and Congress for their inability to develop Jammu and Kashmir at par with other developed states in the country. He highlighted the shortcomings of successive regimes led by these parties and underscored the need for transformative change in the region.
Speaking at the meeting at Pt Prem Nath Dogra Bhawan here today, the senior BJP leader lamented the decades-long neglect experienced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir under the governance of the NC and Congress. He criticized their failure to address the fundamental needs and aspirations of the people, resulting in significant disparities and deprivation across various communities, including Gorkhas, Safaikarmacharis, refugees, and others, who were denied their rightful rights for over seven decades.
Bali Bhagat, who is also the East Assembly constituency election Incharge, emphasized that the NC and Congress had wasted numerous opportunities to foster inclusive development and ensure the equitable distribution of resources in Jammu and Kashmir just to run their own political shops. He asserted that their governance had perpetuated a cycle of stagnation and disillusionment among the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The senior BJP leader commended Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Amit Shah for their decisive action in abrogating Article 370 from the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that this move had ensured equal rights for all citizens of Jammu and Kashmir, bringing them at par with the rest of the country.
Earlier, Bali Bhagat chaired a party’s Core Committee meeting of Jammu East constituency in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. During the meeting, strategies for the elections were discussed, and responsibilities were allocated among senior leaders of the constituency. Senior BJP leaders who were present in the meeting included State vice president, Yudhvir Sethi, former Deputy Mayor, Purnima Sharma, former Minister, Priya Sethi, district president, Parmod Kapahi, Sanyojak Hariom Sharma, State president, Mahila Morcha Sanjita Dogra, district general secretary, Kuldeep Kandhari, Anil Masoom, Anju Dogra, Sunil Prajapati and Vistarak Anil Angral.
