Bali directs hassle-free medical supplies to health institutions

SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat, today chaired a meeting to review the overall functioning of Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL) here today.
The meeting discussed various issues confronting the Corporation and Medical Institutes of the State with regard to medical supplies.
The JKMSCL officials informed the Minister that the Corporation has uploaded 31 tenders and Notice Inviting e-Tenders for e-tendering with active participation of vendors and manufacturers.
He was further told that the Corporation has issued 344 registrations of firms against 377 applications received, so far.
Speaking on the occasion, Bali Bhagat said that drug stores of the department will be in control of the JKMSCL along with the men and the machinery and directed the HoDs of medical institutes to conduct regular meetings with the Corporation to resolve issues, if any, so that medical supplies reach to every health institute without any delay.
He also directed the HoDs of health institutes to submit reacquisition to the Corporation by November ending and directed the Corporation to work with added zeal to make supply of medicines possible on time and demand.
