Bali distributes cheques worth Rs 16.20 lakh under SBM

JAMMU, Mar 8 : Former Minister and MLA Raipur-Domana today conducted tour of his constituency to take stock of problems of the people who put forth various demands pertaining to their areas.
During the course of his tour at Panchayat Burn, he distributed cheques amounting to Rs. 16.20 lakh amongst 135 beneficiaries under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and announced 6 number of dwelling shelters for the poor beneficiaries under Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) in Panchayat Burn. He also assured to set up a Hand Pump and Tubewell at village Rakh soon. He also sanctioned a supplementary plan amounting to Rs. 20 lakh for undertaking various important development works in the Panchayat.
On the persisting demand of the locals, the former Minister directed the Block Development Officer, Bhalwal to undertake the construction work of Raja Mandlik Road at an estimated cost of Rs. 6 lakh.
Interacting with the people, the MLA informed that the works worth Rs. 16 lakh have been completed in the Burn Panchayat and all other works which are underway will be completed in a time bound manner. He also highlighted the achievements of previous BJP-PDP Government during its 10-month brief stint in Jammu and Kashmir.
