Bali launches black-topping work

JAMMU, Oct 15: Maintaining the momentum of   strengthening the road infrastructure in Raipur-Domana segment, Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat launched the block-topping work at Panchayat Hakkal with an estimated cost of Rs 1.04 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that road connectivity is key to the development of people and Government has accorded priority to this important sector. He said right after the formation of the present Government, the focused attention has been given to the upgradation of road infrastructure in all areas and more than 150 kms link roads have been upgraded/black-topped in Raipur-Domana constituency alone. He said that a comprehensive plan has been devised to upgrade the entire road network in Raipur-Domana in a phased manner and work is in progress accordingly.
Maintaining that Government is committed to the overall development of the State with special focus in rural areas, the Minister said that during the past three years the pace of development has picked up substantially and people can see the change on ground. He asked the people to maintain close liaison with the administration and project their developmental demands in a systematic way so that these are attended on priority.
He issued instructions to the concerned officers to ensure quality of work strictly as per the specifications, adding that no compromise with the quality will be tolerated and any complaint to this effect shall be dealt with strictly.
