Bali launches blacktopping of roads

JAMMU, May 28: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today launched blacktopping work of 3 link roads in Raipur-Domana constituency with an estimated cost of Rs 1.40 crore.
The roads on which the work has started included Purkhoo to Ghari with a length of 1.5 km, Ghari to Jungvari with a length of 1.6 km and Ghari to Ram Temple with length 1.2 km.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that road connectivity is the top most priority of the Government and focused attention is being accorded on upgradation of the link roads. He said more than 100 kms road length has already been blacktopped and efforts are on to cover all link roads during the current financial year in the constituency.
He directed the engineers to maintain quality of work strictly as per the new specifications to ensure longevity of roads. He said any deviation in the quality of works will be viewed seriously. He also called upon the locals to personally supervise the quality of works.
On the occasion, the Minister also announced setting up of one health sub-centre at village Ghari. He also assured the people that the developmental works in the constituency will be expedited.
