JAMMU Nov 24:  Senior Congress leader and party candidate for Marh constituency Balwan Singh today inaugurated election office at camp Gole Gujral with a view to ensure greater coordination during party activists at grass route level for the ensuing Assembly elections.
Addressing a large number of party activists present on the occasion, Balwan said that the door to door campaign is also launched in the area to enhance awareness among people about various historic initiatives taken by the Congress Government during the past 10 years for securing the goal of speedy development in all sectors as well as welfare and prosperity of the people.
He urged the party activists to come out and reach to every voter and explain to them the programme and policies of the Congress party. He appealed the people to cast their vote in favour of Congress to ensure its victory.
The prominent party leaders who were present on the occasion include Lala Devi Dass, Ashwani Sharma Block president Marh, S. Vikram Singh Secy PCC, S Manmohan Singh Chairman Gurudwara Parbandak Committee, Gurdev Singh and Kuldeep Singh Niab Sarpanch.
Later Balwan Singh addressed a public meeting at Chanu Chack where making an emotional pitch to electorates to vote and support the Congress in the ongoing Assembly polls, Balwan Singh said that his party is fighting against ‘divisive forces, which are hell bent to destroy harmony.
Highlighting his priorities, he reminded the gathering that employment to youth through recruitment rallies, better road connectivity and medicare, development would be the top priority.
