JAMMU, Nov 16: The Department of Education, Government of Kerala has invited eminent theatre director Padamshree Balwant Thakur to Kerala to showcase and present the new dimensions of world theatre in various state universities and the institutions.
Balwant Thakur’s tour to Kerala will start from 20th November and will continue for five days covering over 8 prestigious interactive events. During the Kerala visit, he is also scheduled to inaugurate and address as key speaker in the national seminar entitled ‘Contemporary Drama and the Theatre organized by Directorate of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala.
His another significant presentation will be at Rangaprabhath Children Theatre, Natakgramam, Venjaramoodu where being an accomplished playwright and a director of children theatre, he will deliberate on the new emerging trends and approaches of children theatre globally. In rest of interaction programmes he will present the global perspective of Indian Theatre including world view about the contemporary theatre practices.
