Jammu, Aug 14 : Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research, Jammu celebrated Charaka Jayanti – Charaka Chintana today. Dr Sanghamitra Patnaik, Principal and Professor of Sushruta Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Bangalore was the chief guest .She delivered lecture on Panchkarma and Charaka Samhita. The function was presided over by Suman Sharma Chairperson, Sain charitable trust Jammu .
Managing Directors Ravish and Ritesh and CEO’s Japna and Jasudha were also present. Director Academics Dr Raghuvir Singh, Principal Dr Sharada and Vice Principal Dr Nitin Mahajan were present in the function.
Dr Jatinder Kumar, Dr Venandana, Dr Lakshmi Sameer Mahajan, Anjini Kanna from Department of Samhita and Siddhanta were the organisers of the event.Dr Lakshmi Sameer highlighted the importance of Charak Jayanti.
There was Shloka recitation from Post Graduate students. Quiz competition was also conducted for students by Dr Vikas Gupta, Dr Rachin Shivgotra & Dr Sukhdev Khatotra.
A healthy drink- Kharjuradi mantha was distributed by Dr Ashish Mahajan.Dr Tarun gupta, Dr Gopan G and Dr Vinny Narayan. The programme was anchored by Dr Himani Khajuria.
