Bangladeshi escapes from police custody

JAMMU, Dec 2: A Bangladeshi national today escaped from the custody of RS Pura police station.
As per police sources, a Bangladeshi national identified as Jamshad Ali, son fo Chirag Ali, a resident of Sharifgunj, Bagladesh today escaped from the custody of RS Pura police station.
The Bangladeshi national was arrested in the year 2012 along with his two associates, when they were trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan from RS Pura Sector.
All the three persons were awarded two years imprisonment and the trio was brought to RS Pura police station to dispatch them to Bangladesh, but Jamshad Ali gave slip to police and escaped from the custody.
Police has launched manhunt to nab him. However, the Bangladeshi national was not apprehended till late night, when reports last were compiled.
SSP Jammu Uttam Chand when contacted said that appropriate action will be taken against the cops for dereliction of duties.
