Bangladesh’s Gangchil Journalists forum to make a development report on Indian tourism sector

Dhaka June 15: “Gangchil Journalists Forum”, a forum of Bangladeshi journalists working in travel and tourism beat, will make a development report on Indian tourism sector.
Leaders of the forum said this while addressing an event in the capital on Tuesday.
After the inauguration of the Padma Bridge, Gangchil Journalists Forum will move forward with new spirit. The forum has sought the cooperation of all concerned in this regard.
The forum has decided to highlight various development activities in the field of tourism and travel through writing to raise public awareness at home and abroad. They think that this will attract foreigners to Bangladesh.
The arrival of foreign tourists will increase in Bangladesh in the future. The launch of the Padma Bridge will pave the way for flourishing the tourism sector of Bangladesh, they observed.
Nasima Akter Soma, President of the forum, said, “If the organization works being imbued with the spirit of national consciousness, I think all sectors of tourism will come forward in favour of our organization.”
It may be mentioned here that the forum made its debut in 2014 following initiative of some journalists who are thirsty for travel.
Since its inception, the forum has collected data on potential tourist destinations in Bangladesh and published reports in different media.
Soma expressed her determination to make a development report on the tourism sector of India by visiting the tourism-rich areas of India in near future.
She sought the cooperation of the Government of India in this regard.
