JAMMU, Apr 3: Treasury Officer Banihal has clarified that total transactions worth Rs 34.26 lakh took place on March 31, 2018 in his treasury and no fraud has taken place under his command as reported in the section of Press.
While reacting to the news item with regard to alleged fraud worth Rs 80 lakh, which appeared in the columns of this news paper on Tuesday, the Treasury Officer claimed that on last day of financial year transaction worth Rs 34.26 lakh took place in this treasury moreover, at present there is no surrendered militant turned Govt employees serving under him. Though TO remained silence on inquiry part as ordered by Director A&T Jammu, yet he maintained that no fraud as such has been committed by any person under him during his tenure.
