JAMMU, Sept 25: A 55 years old person, who happens to be a Bank Manager died last night after a speeding tempo hit his Alto car at Toph area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the victim has been identified as Vinay Grover son of Inder Dass and resident of Anand Nagar, Bohri (Jammu). He was a serving Bank Manager of J&K Bank’s Patel Nagar branch at Akhnoor Road, he added.
He said the accident took place late last night when Vinay was on his way to home in his Alto car having registration number JKO2AR-6801. In serious condition, Vinay was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, he added.
A case in this regard has been registered at Nowabad Police Station and the accused Tempo driver namely Sohan Lal son of Chuni Lal resident of Galwadechak has been arrested, the spokesman further added.
