Bank Officers Confederation elects body

JAMMU, July 21: To elect new body of office bearers, the State Committee of All India Bank Officers Confederation held a meeting, here today.
Satish Khajuria (PNB) and Suresh Wali (SBI) were unopposed elected State President and State General Secretary respectively.
The meeting was attended by the representatives from PSBs including PNB, BOI, Canara BK, Corporation Bank, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank and United Bank of India.
While inaugurating the meeting, president Com. Satish Khajuria welcomed the move to form a State Unit of AIBOC in Jammu and Kashmir and assured the members that all the efforts will be made by the State Committee to address the concerns of Officers in the Public Sector Banks in the State.
Com. Suresh Wali spoke at length about the challenges facing the Banking Industry in general and its impact upon the Officers in particular in the sector. He also highlighted the various deliberations held in the recently conducted All India Executive Committee of AIBOC held at Chennai.
The representatives from all PSBs spoke about the difficulties being faced by the Officers Cadre in their respective Banks and resolved to put up a joint front against Anti-Officer Policies.
The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Com. Satish Sharma (SBI), State Vice President.
