The PDD has transformed itself into a bridle-less horse , swallowing a big chunk of fund resources, but going down from bad to worse in its functioning with each passing day.Time and again, the consumers being fed from Bantalab Receiving Station have been requesting the PDD authorities that the 5-7 yrs.back fully metered colonies be provided round the clock power on the pattern of other areas under JMC, but instead, the deptt. has recently cut almost the whole day supply to this area providing just 2-3 hrs. of power supply from 5am to 10 pm.It appears that unless people come to streets and take up to violence,the authorities keep on sleeping to wait for the situation becoming volatile
We want to draw the attention of Chief Engineer to the fact that most/all the connections in colonies like Durga Nagar, Chinore, Swaran Vihar, Bantalab etc.falling under JMC have been e- metered several years back but the million dollar question is why the left over connections were not covered up during the past 7 years. providing the PDD an excuse for scheduled and unscheduled power cuts.
The power scenario in this area has now touched all time low with power being supplied so that even a mobile phone battery is not charged during the day.
Before the consumers come to roads , it is high time for the Deptt. to look into the matter and ask its functionaries to supply power to all areas judiciously as per schedule.
