JAMMU, May 2: Baradari mail of Chowgam Pandits was held at Sharda Peeth, Bantalab, under the banner of Mata Chandi Bakhti Sangathan Chowgam, today.
During the meeting the outset of Constitution of the Sangathan was discussed threadbare and after detailed deliberations, it was accepted and approved to be adopted.
In another sitting, problems faced by Pandits of Chowgam, in exile were taken note of and discussed thoroughly. It was decided to solve these problems with strong hand.
Unfortunately events like encroachment of agriculture land in village Chowgam, teshil Divsar, district Kulgam, destruction of three temple and encroachment of creamation grounds and other Ahal-i-Hanood property were also brought into notice of Baradari members.
It was decided to approach Revenue authorities to get these encroached removed. In the third sitting religious discources were arranged to get the baradari rid of unnecessary and anti-religious activities and customs.
Cultural programme was performed in which children demonstrated their talent in singing and other capabilities.
