Baramulla Road Accident Toll Mounts To 10 After 2 More Succumb

SRINAGAR, Feb 1: The death toll in the road accident in Uri’s areas of Baramulla district rose to 10 after two injured passengers succumbed to their injuries late last night, officials said on Thursday.
The two injured who were shifted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar from Baramulla succumbed to their injuries during treatment late last night.
On Wednesday a Tata Sumo vehicle, en route from Bujthalan Village to Boniyar Uri and carrying 15 passengers, skidded off the road and plunged into a gorge, leaving eight dead and seven others injured.
All the 10 dead hail from Bujthalan Village.
J&K Government on Wednesday evening announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 5 lakh to be given to the next of kin of those who lost their lives in the tragedy. (Agencies)
