SAMBA, Oct 30: Acting on a tip off about gambling, special team from P/S Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector, Ravinder Singh Rakwal, SHO Bari Brahmana under the direct supervision of Sunil Kesar, SDPO Bari Brahmana raided the gambling spot at Ward No. 4 Bari Brahmana today & arrested four gamblers along with stake money of Rs. 3,725/- and playing cards from the spot. The gamblers were identified as Nitu Kumar, son of Babu Ram of Palli, Mukesh Singh, son of Mohan Singh of Bihar at present Bari Brahmana, Rajesh Kumar, son of Chand Ram of Bari Brahmana and Satpal, son of Parkash Chand of Dhiansar. All the gamblers were booked under Section 13 of Gambling Act at P/S Bari Brahmana.
It may be recalled that the District Police Samba has intensified its drive against the social crime in the society on the directions of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba.
