SAMBA, Oct 1: A police party of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana headed by Sub Inspector, Tanveer Ahmed conducted patrolling under supervision of Inspector, Rajesh Sharma,SHO PS Bari Brahmana, Nihar Ranjan, SDPO, Bari Brahmana in Industrial area near Peer Baba, Bari Brahmana.
Police party got suspicious on one person and on questioning he disclosed his name Mohammad Bharu son of Mohd. Yousuf of Laswara Bushnah at present near Peer Baba, Balole Nallah, Bari Brahmana. During his frisking 5.75 grams of Heroin (Chitta)like substance was recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized.
The operation was conducted under the close supervision of SSP Samba,Rajesh Sharma. In this regard, a case FIR No. 244/2021 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at PS Bari-Brahmana and investigation started.
