SAMBA, June 18: Bari Brahmana police has arrested one drug peddler and recovered six grams of heroin (Chitta).
A police party of Police Station, Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector, Darshan Singh, SHO under the supervision of Sunil Kesar, SDPO, Bari Brahmana during vehicle checking at Sarore Adda Nakka in Bari Brahmana intercepted a pedestrian who tried to run on seeing police party. But alert cops chased him and swiftly apprehended him. During his frisking six grams of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from his possession.
The accused person identified as Yaqoob Hussain alias Yukka, Lambhu S/o Bashir Ahmed, resident of Gujjar Basti, Sarore Adda, Bari Brahmana has been arrested on the spot and contraband item was seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 72/2019 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the overall supervision of SSP, Samba Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma.
